Word displays a small hollow square at the lower-right corner of the table. Click your mouse on this square and drag it to represent the size you want your table to be. When you release the mouse button, the table is resized. It is important to understand what this resizing technique actually does and what it doesn't do.

Each table in Word has its own set of properties. Some properties can affect how columns behave: Fixed Column Width: When the table is set to have a fixed column width, you cannot resize the columns freely. Ensure this setting isn’t enabled if you want flexibility.
