If you connect your Android device and your iPhone with a cable, you might get a pop-up and need to adjust the USB settings on your Android device before you can start the Move to iOS app. On your iOS device, tap Continue when you see the Move from Android screen. Then wait for a ten-digit or six-digit code to appear.

Whether you’re switching to a new iPhone and need to transfer all your data from Android, or you want to use both devices side by side and share files between them, you’ll be glad to know that the process is quite straightforward. In the first instance, we’d advise you to use an Apple app called Move to iOS.

You need to scan a QR code on your iPhone to install the Switch To Android app (if you haven’t already) and start the copying process. When switching to a Samsung phone, open the Smart Switch app on your iPhone and follow the instructions.

On your Android device, make sure that Wi‑Fi is turned on, and plug your new iOS device and your Android device into power. Alternatively, you can also use a USB-C cable to directly connect your Android device and your iPhone for a faster transfer.
