Using an Online Fax Service

1. Open a web browser and visit an online fax service like FaxZero, Fax.Plus, or RingCentral.

2. Create an account if required, or proceed as a guest for free services like FaxZero.

3. Enter your sender information, including your name, email, and phone number.

4. Provide the recipient's name and fax number in the designated fields.

5. Upload the document you want to fax (supported formats include PDF, DOC, JPG, etc.).

6. Add a cover page if needed by filling in the provided text box.

7. Confirm the details and click Send Fax. You may receive an email confirmation once the fax is sent.

Using a Fax Modem (Windows)

1. Connect a USB fax modem to your computer and attach an active phone line to the modem.

2. Open the Start menu and search for Windows Fax and Scan.

3. Click New Fax in the top-left corner of the application.

4. Enter the recipient's fax number in the To field.

5. Attach the document you want to fax by clicking the paperclip icon.

6. Click Send to transmit the fax.
